Aluminium Hydroxide+magnesium Hydroxide+magnesium Silicate+simethicone belongs to a group of medicines called antacids used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset. The stomach is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn. 

Aluminium Hydroxide+magnesium Hydroxide+magnesium Silicate+simethicone is a combination of four drugs: Aluminium hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide, Magnesium silicate and Simethicone. Aluminium hydroxide,  magnesium hydroxide and magnesium silicate belong to a group of antacids. Aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and magnesium silicate work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Simethicone is anti-flatulent which works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitates the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping).

Take Aluminium Hydroxide+magnesium Hydroxide+magnesium Silicate+simethicone as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Aluminium Hydroxide+magnesium Hydroxide+magnesium Silicate+simethicone for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. You may experience certain common side-effects such as constipation, diarrhoea, dizziness, and drowsiness in some cases. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

Let your doctor know if you are allergic to any of the contents. Do not take Aluminium Hydroxide+magnesium Hydroxide+magnesium Silicate+simethicone if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Aluminium Hydroxide+magnesium Hydroxide+magnesium Silicate+simethicone should not be given to children as safety have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Aluminium Hydroxide+magnesium Hydroxide+magnesium Silicate+simethicone as it could lead to increased acidity. Aluminium Hydroxide+magnesium Hydroxide+magnesium Silicate+simethicone may cause dizziness and drowsiness, do not drive or operate machinery unless you are alert. Inform your doctor regarding other prescription, non-prescription and herbal medicines you are taking to prevent any side-effects/interactions.

Aluminium Hydroxide+magnesium Hydroxide+magnesium Silicate+simethicone is a combination of three drugs: Aluminium hydroxide (antacid), Magnesium hydroxide (antacid), Magnesium silicate (antacid) and Simethicone (anti-flatulent). Aluminium hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide and Magnesium silicate work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Simethicone works by lowering the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitates the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract. 

Tablet/Capsule: Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it. Chewable tablet: Chew the tablet completely and swallow. Do not swallow it as a whole. Syrup/Gel: Shake the bottle well before use. Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack.
